There\u2019s Joy in Brokenness.<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKintsugi\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kintsugi<\/strong> is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery<\/strong> pieces back together using gold as the adhesive. It\u2019s built on the idea that, in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create a stronger, more beautiful piece of art. Kintsugi says \u201cembrace brokenness, add creativity and imagination, the result is beauty.\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe\u00a0Lord\u00a0is close\u00a0to the brokenhearted and<\/em><\/strong> saves those who are crushed in spirit.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Psalm 34:18)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intimacy with God does not mean freedom from Pain and Suffering. In fact, the Bible shows stories upon stories of people close to God and called by God experiencing a good measure of brokenness!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, the secret to finding Joy in Brokenness is not in avoiding it but in looking at i<\/em>t. From another perspective \u2013 changing your attitude towards it.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter, even after denying the Lord 3 times… Paul, even with a thorn in his flesh… they both followed Jesus \u2013 Himself suffering and crucified \u2013 so that we may enjoy the Joy of Resurrection!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, before you ask where\u2019s the \u201cEXIT\u201d door out of your pain… or before you go press \u201cESCAPE\u201d from your challenges and \u201cbreaking experiences\u201d<\/em>… remember this: Pain has a Purpose: you must learn it!<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tragedy of pain is NOT that you have to go through it <\/em><\/strong>(because it happens!)…<\/strong><\/em>the tragedy is when you have not learned anything while going through it!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s comfort and peace in being assured that God does not waste our pain or suffering. \u201cAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose…\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(Romans 8:28a)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
