FAITH and FEAR during a PANDEMIC<\/span><\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

But He said to them, \u201cWhy are you fearful, O you of little faith?\u201d Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.<\/em><\/strong>“<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one of our lockdown bible studies, Pastor Jonathan Pokluda (Overcoming Anxiety during COVID-19)<\/em> said something that stood out for me: \u201cWhatever you feed grows.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/strong> He was referring to a choice we make daily… whether to feed our Fears or to feed our Faith.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This pandemic serves either to grow your fears or to grow your faith. How you are processing the onslaught of news, facts and restrictions… the isolation because of social distancing<\/em> precautions… the concerns over economic downturns and losses \u2013 all contributing to growing your Fear or Faith \u2013 depending on which one you feed today!<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let Jesus \u2013 the One whose Resurrection we celebrate this month<\/em> \u2013 speak Life and Power that feeds your Faith today!<\/em><\/strong> <\/span>Pray to Him, read His Word… sing songs and hymns and spiritual songs, make music in your heart to Him \u2013 use available technology to connect and \u201cfellowship\u201d with like-minded Christ-followers Feed your Faith in Jesus!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if you\u2019re reading this today… with the continuing threat of COVID-19 surrounding you… the anxiety of reopening… the uncertainty of the future… the FEAR of DEATH brought about by this virus… Let Jesus SPEAK TO YOUR FEARS \u2013 and let His Peace, the peace that \u201csurpasses all understanding\u201d guard your heart and mind today! Let Him speak calm and assurance \u2013 let Him speak to the winds and the waves!<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
