{"id":451,"date":"2022-07-01T17:37:54","date_gmt":"2022-07-01T17:37:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/winseattle.org\/?p=451"},"modified":"2022-07-01T17:37:54","modified_gmt":"2022-07-01T17:37:54","slug":"july-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/winseattle.org\/?p=451","title":{"rendered":"July 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p><strong>Sunday Word<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pastor\u2019s Corner<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Purpose in Pain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>\u201cFor our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us&nbsp;an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;(2 Cor. 4:17 NIV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&nbsp;all&nbsp;have to&nbsp;admit&#8230;&nbsp;<em>anxiety can sometimes be overwhelming<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If not handled&nbsp;properly, that&nbsp;debilitating stress can result in crippling panic or paralyzing fear! Severe anxiety is a sure sign&nbsp;of poor mental health and&nbsp;<em>should not just be acknowledged but addressed seriously<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That said, we also learn that&nbsp;<strong>we can trust that&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>God has a purpose<\/strong> for that&nbsp;emotional turmoil.&nbsp;God is not&nbsp;the source of our anxiety,&nbsp;but&nbsp;He does allow it to shape us&nbsp;and allow us to trust in His transforming power!&nbsp;<em>It sound<\/em><em>s<\/em><em>&nbsp;counterintuitive, but our pain is&nbsp;<\/em><em>actually<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em><em>one<\/em><em>&nbsp;of the greatest signs&nbsp;<\/em><em>that<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em><em>God loves us \u2013 they&nbsp;<\/em><em>point us to<\/em><em>Jesus!&#8230; His help and his mercy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It teaches us that when we move beyond the comfort, health, and wealth, we get to know the \u201cman of sorrows\u201d Himself, Jesus!&nbsp;His&nbsp;sacrifice on the cross&nbsp;transforms&nbsp;the way we,&nbsp;as Christ-followers&nbsp;think of&nbsp;some of our&nbsp;pain and suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>What are you trying to&nbsp;change\/develop in me,&nbsp;Lord? How is this&nbsp;pain&nbsp;preparing me for eternity?
