Pure JOY and Great POWER for YOU!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

(The Resurrection & the Holy Spirit)<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.<\/em> (John 16:7 NASB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After His Resurrection, Jesus had authority together with the Father to send His Holy Spirit. He spoke of the necessity of leaving in order for the Spirit to come. He then declared, \u201cYou shall receive power<\/em><\/strong>, after that the Holy Spirit has come upon you<\/em>\u201d (Acts 1:8).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two extraordinary things happened to the disciples after Jesus ascended. First: they \u201creturned to Jerusalem with great joy\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (Luke 24:52). They were not downcast over Jesus ascending – they understood why it was necessary! <\/em>Second: the disciples received great spiritual strength. So after Pentecost, the disciples were a transformed people! No longer did they flee in fear like sheep without a shepherd. Instead, they turned the world upside down with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pure Joy and Great Power are two of the obvious Spiritual Benefits of<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

the Resurrection of Jesus and the Coming of the Holy Spirit!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJesus, thank you for the Blessing of your Resurrection and the Grace of your Ascension.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for sending your Holy Spirit  who transforms me daily from glory to glory.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for the JOY and STRENGTH I have in and through Your Holy Spirit! Amen\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
