\u201cPeople of Promise\u201d<\/strong>
This is pretty familiar verse that\u2019s often quoted, especially during times of crises. Now before
we go reciting this and claiming its promises, let\u2019s have a closer look and study its meaning in
context. Then we can see how it applies to us today\u2026
The setting:<\/span> King Solomon was dedicating the temple. He asked for God\u2019s favor and God\u2019s
presence. God responds by giving conditions to His people so that His favor and presence come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The 3-fold promise:<\/span>
(I will hear\u2026) Answered Prayers!<\/strong>
(I will pardon\u2026) Forgiveness!<\/strong>
(I will heal\u2026) Restoration!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


God\u2019s Favor comes with the manifest Presence of God!<\/strong> However, it is conditional (\u201cIF\u2026THEN\u2026\u201d<\/em>).
God\u2019s conditional promise of blessing\u2026 towards those He loves unconditionally!
\u27a2 not magic\u2026 not wishful thinking\u2026 this is God making a covenant with His people!<\/strong>
God will fulfill His promise if True Christians fulfill the conditions He has set!\u2026 not the world,
not the lost\u2026 but the Christians! \u2013 what a privilege!\u2026 and what a responsibility!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
