This year’s Vacation Bible School was simply “weird”.  Our theme was Weird Animals VBS – where we learned that Jesus’ love is one-of-a-kind.  We met some of the weird animals that God created and learned that even though we’re left-out or different, even when there are things going on around us that we don’t understand, even though we do wrong and when we’re afraid—Jesus loves us!

Jesus’ love is so great, so powerful, so boundless and everlasting that we can rest assured that no matter what happens and whatever comes our way – Jesus’ love will always be there for us.

For 5 days we gathered together with our zoo crews to visit different stations.  We had fun experiencing the One-of-a-kind Bible Adventures, learning about cool experiments in Imagination Station, having fun playing Untamed Games, dancing and singing in Sing-and-Play Stampede and creating fun food at the Critter Café.  We did all these while reinforcing each Bible Truth for the day,  embedding in our hearts the greatness of God’s love.

Parents and Volunteers
Parents and Volunteers worked so hard at this event – but they had a blast and were so blessed to give the kids a grand time.

We couldn’t have
done all these without the great commitment of our Youth volunteers who trained and dedicated themselves to the task at hand – making sure to put aside their phones and social media apps to put the children first!  Our very-able kitchen staff made sure we were all well fed and had the energy for each day’s activities including our fun field trips to the Blueberry Farm,  Norpoint Spray Park and, of course, the ZOO to meet more of God’s great creations.

WIN Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry provided immeasurable help at the VBS, as usual – it wouldn;t have been a success without them.

Many, many thanks to all those who supported us by donating in cash and in kind and by giving of their time to drive us to our field trips and keeping us safe and secure all week.

A big “Thank you” to all who took part and got involved. Know that YOU Made a Difference!
