Mother’s Day (May 11) and Father’s Day (June 15) in WIN-Seattle were unforgettable! All the Moms and Dads were honored with home made gifts and special numbers as both days were dedicated to them and especially to the Lord in thanksgiving for all the mothers and fathers in the church.
Roses, chocolates and stylish hats were presented for the mothers while the fathers received a homemade jar of dry barbecue rub and a free bowling night out with the kids! A free photo booth was set-up so both moms and dads can capture the memories with professional level photography! Of course, both celebrations were capped by a delicious lunch.
Special numbers were presented in their honor during the service. The Youth presented a slideshow for the moms and sang “Courageous” for the dads. The children sang with some of the dads to honor the moms. The fun-filled numbers were highlighted by the women performing a dance number to the song “Happy”! And that was really what it was all about – honoring the mothers and the fathers while making sure that the celebration makes our Lord, the ultimate parent,
“happy”!
